shhh... meet me in the basement tonight....

Days ago now, The Ovulators in Scobert Park was wonderful. People were spread out through the park, with just a couple die hards and young girls sitting right up close to us, with in the patch of plastic daisies that we had stuck in the ground. It was a sweet sight. It was day light and there was bike riding and jungle gym climbing going on while we rocked out. I even got to bed at my usual working-the-next-day bedtime. I felt serene. I felt like I was embarking on a new way to rockin' roll. At least during the week, I think I much perfer the 7:00 performance time over the midnight performance slot. And watching the sunlight fade amongst trees, The Ovulators and an audience, kind of felt like a video. Now, where was our video guy?
The next chance you have to see us Ovulators perform will be in on Wednesday Sept. 13th at Sam Bond's for a Syd Barrett tribute show. We have been whittling our fingers away learning his tunes. I expect much fun that evening with the CoStars and the All Great Merge also honoring this psychedelic pioneer.

Also, I have moved away from JK Rowling and on to Roald Dahl. I know you think that I am just perpetuating my children's book attention span, but actually, I'm reading some adult short stories and they are really rather randy.
