Tonight at the Downtown Lounge at 9:30, The Ovulators will be performing with James West as our drummer. And as if that isn't enough excitement for your Wednesday night, the evening will continue with Persephone's Bees, who I highly recommend checking out.

When The Ovulators were in San Francisco, we spent a night with my friend, Jay. Jay and I go way back to the late 80's when we were both attending this hippie college in southern California. A couple years later, we both lived in San Francisco in an apartment on lower Haight st. We both Dj'd at KUSF as well.
While we were at his house, Jay pulled out two bags. One was a bag of things that The Ovulators left behind the last time we stayed with him in 2003. One of the items was a little black art book of mine that was filled with little tid bits and polaroids of the 2003 tour. It was really fun to look through and I started it right back up with our 2007 tour. The second bag was a bag that I left at his house in 1995, and he informed me that he had even moved the bag with him 2 times during those years. It is a bag of records. These are the records in the bag:
Boogie Down Productions Remixes by the World "man & His Music"
Circus Lupus "Super Genius"
Hostyle "Partners in Crime"
The Billy Childish Native American Sampler- A History of 1983-1993
Zapp
and 2 7":
Slug "hambone City" & "King of Ghosts"
Von Lmo "Cosmic Interception"

I've got some listening to do.
