I am officially a homeowner. But I am still in limbo, living in a studio in my father's backyard until my new house key is in my hand. Because of this and that, I own the house, but can't get in it yet. So, with most of my belongings in storage, and my two felines settled into our one room lifestyle, there's not much for me to do but have band practices and gaze out the windows dreaming of my new house and how I am going to decorate it, and how I get to set up a little private music studio space and have my own bathroom, and plant a passion flower vine to grow around the railings of the deck, and jasmine outside my bedroom window.

Well, it has been a long road this month. I was given notice to move out of my house on Jan 31st. On February 1st, I found a house to buy. I have been looking for a place to buy for 6 months now, and this is the first one that has met my requirements (garden space, band space, close to town, enough bedrooms to rent some to cover the mortgage, and room enough for some furniture that I recently inherited.) So, this month I have had to put creativity on hold and actually put something before music priorities which was difficult. The first part of the month was all about bids, paperwork and inspections for the new house. The second half of the month has been all packing the old house. I have lived in this house for 6 years and built up a lot of STUFF. I did what I could during the hours of canceled band practices , but the crunch has been these last few days. Thank God for friends. Mr. Random has been my co-pilot for the past two days, helping load up the uhaul, but I could have never done it with out the magic of space money on my side. At 3:66, I showed up at the Museum of Unfine Art on LeapDay and recruited a space crew. I took four space money agents back to my house to help finish up the grand sweep outta here. Emptying the band room to get the carpet out took a couple hours in itself. My space crew quickly became a nicely oiled machine, it was a magical evening. People took charge and made things happen, more people arrived and we were like an assembly line of getting Stardust moved. I am incredibly, incredibly grateful. The sad note is that I had to move everything into storage, because my loan for the mortgage only just came in yesterday, and that means I still have about a week before actually closing, so I will have to recruit again in a short time. Oh well, thank goodness for Space Crews.
