New band. New songs.

Today is The Big Orange Boy Cat's birthday. He is into his double digits. I figured the most enjoyable way for him to celebrate was an edible treat and for me to be outside most of the day. He loves it when I dig in the dirt. So, I was gardening until it was too dark to see. Pulling weeds, battling blackberries and planting perennials, with feline company sleeping in the shade. It was GrrrreAT!! AND I unpacked my shorts, in preparation of tomorrow's high temperature day.

So, I guess rollerblades are now called "Inline Skates". I figured that one out and was like: what, you've got to change the name to try to make them cool? Maybe I'm being rude, but I'm a die hard put my wheels in a square shape skater myself. It was my definition of self when I was 11 years old. And then again at 15 with a slab of wood screwed to the wheels instead of sneakers. I just don't get putting your wheels in a straight line. Those poor "inline" skaters even have a modified version of "shoot the duck" that is more of a crouch than a shoot. Still, they're allowed to participate in the "shoot the duck" contest.
